For over 35 years, The Evening of Readings has always been a big night of celebration and a gathering of people who want to transform New York through the power of literacy.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of an extraordinary organization with a simple mission: to help adults transform their lives and create a brighter future for their children through the power of literacy. From our humble beginnings in 1973 as a volunteer adult tutoring program, we now focus on parents of young children with evidence-based practices and innovative partnerships to create a two-generation impact through our free classes, community workshops, and educational media.
Please join us for the Literacy Partners Golden Anniversary and celebrate the power of literacy and the joy and advancement it brings to the low-income and immigrant families we serve.
